Bursa StrongholdWith Alamo tenacity, Bursa stood its ground and finished up 1.33 points to 1505.71. Losers were way ahead of gainers 622 to 218. volume traded was 1.14 billion shares worth RM2.51 billion.
Among gainers were BAT flying sky-high with a gain of RM1.25. IOIProp followed tacking on 80 sen while Gamuda and IOICorp both improved 20 sen each. Losers were led by Bursa collapsing virtually with a loss of 90 sen. PPB,KLK and Hexagon lost 30 sen each.
The portfolio was again lousy. Except for BJ Sports Toto and Welli which rose 5 sen and 2 sen to RM5.35 and 56 sen and Genting and Resorts which stood unchanged at RM7.85 and RM4.02, the rest succumbed to profit taking. KHSB fell 4 sen to RM1.01 and RCE zoomed down 2 .5 sen to 86 sen. Elsewhere, Metronic weakened a sen too to 15 sen.
