Floored!Dow is King. All markets were floored this day. Bursa's CI went flat at 1354.48, down a humongous 54.12 points! Losers reached 963 while gainers were subdued at 68. Volume of shares traded was 1.58 billion shares worth RM 3.65 billion.
The gainers were MetalR, moving up 30 sen; IOIProp improving 30 sen,Tien Wah rising 30 sen and Choo Bee notching up 12 sen. Losers were the great fly guys of yesterday. BAT lost RM1.50;Digi went down RM1.40;United Plant shed RM1.20 and KLK off-loaded RM1.10.
The portfolio was uneasy. Loses were heavy particularly for Genting which lost 35 sen to RM7.10;KHSB stumbled and lost 8.5 sen to 84.5 sen; Resorts went down 8 sen to RM3.60 while RCE slided 5 sen to 75 sen. Metronic also lost a sen to 12.5 sen. BJ Sports Toto was unchanged at RM4.98 while Welli improved 0.5 sen to 53 sen.
It was one lousy day at the bourse.
Tomorrow is Thaipusam, a newly declared holiday for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
