Year of the Gutter Rat!

So the Bursa is suffering after the early January rush - indigestion. Poor us that got burnt, fingers, hands and butts! The sub-primes rule and the world markets kowtow. Malaysia wanted to play hero when all the Asian markets paid their tributes. We stood up and out like a sore thumb and now we are feeling the buck shots! Silly GLCs and mad mat rempits!

The CI closed with a loss of 9.57 points to 1429.92. Losers rode by gainers 599 to 100. Volume was at 296 million shares valued at RM606 million. The gainers included Rexit up 26 sen; PBBank ascending by 20 sen, LPI gliding up 20 sen and TM rising a paltry 10 sen. The losers were IOIProp which lost 50 sen; BKawan which lost 30 sen along with Parkson and Bursa.

The portfolio was squished and squashed. Resorts World got the treatment and went down 4 sen to RM3.74; Genting lost the bet and slid 10 sen to RM7.60. Meanwhile, BJ Sports Toto went to the cleaners losing 10 sen as well. Elsewhere, Metronic
and KHSB added 0.5 sen each to 14.5 sen and 99 sen RCE was unchanged at 82.5 sen but Welli lost 1.5 sen to 53 sen.
