The Last Day-Lunch Break

Need we hear the fading trumpet call? As the lunch break draws near, the CI was range-bound, slipping 3.65 points to 1443.39. Gainers was overwhelmed by losers at 347 to 391.Value was 403 million shares worth RM567 million.

Heading the gainers was Magna-WA rising 46 sen;SAA6-WA followed with a 28 sen gain;LDaun climbed 27 sen and Stemlife picked up 20 sen. Losers included Fututec slipping 31.5 sen; Asiafile being eroded by 20 along with MSC and UMW.

The portfolio was dull. KHSB upped 1.5 sen to 93 sen, while RCE added a sen to 86 sen but Welli lost 1 sen to 56 sen. BJ Sports Toto was unchanged at RM5.00 along with Metronic at 15 sen. Genting lost 5 sen to RM7.90. Meanwhile Resorts added 10 sen on the news that Resorts shareholders would be entitled to some Genting International shares.

I expect a dull listless afternoon session.
