Good Start But Unexciting

Yes, it followed Wall Street faithfully but the fun and excitement is wholly missing. May be it is too early to tell. The kiasu buyers have all bought in when market opened. Most prices are now off best or are back at their overnight levels.

The CI went up 17.62 points to 1364.67 points. Share volume stood at 502 million while values was estimated at RM 702 million. Gainers led losers 491 to 138. Gainers were
MAS which flew in with a 48 sen gain; and Shell,KLK and Lion Div, all up 30 sen. Allianz which re-listed, adding 25 sen and Losers were HLCap down 11 sen;SPSetia down 10 sen;Toyocem down 9 sen and Guoco down 6 sen. seems Hong Leong stable companies are losing their shine!

The portfolio remains as dull as a wet rainy day good only for twiddling thumbs. Genting
managed a 15 sen gain to RM8.35 while Resorts put on a happy face adding 2 sen to RM3,94. KHSB added 2 sen to 97 sen while BJ Sports Toto also added 2 sen to RM5.00. Most were at overnight levels. AMDB was morose at 39.5 sen while Metronic was comatose at 15.5 sen; Welli added 0.5 sen to 97 sen while JAKS lost its leaping powers to stay close to base at RM1.01. RCE was down 0.5 sen to 93.5 sen

Let us see how the market will perform after the witching hour.
