Dull, Feeble FridayNoon close was disappointing. Early morning gains flew out of the window. Will the afternoon be another boring session?
CI was marginally higher at 1371.63 , up a miserable 1.8 points. Volume was very good at 1.174 billion shares; a valid indicator that there is widespread buying. Value was good at RM1.146 billion.
There were 482 gainers to 272 losers. Bursa and SPSetia both added 30 sen. PLS upped 28 sen while BAT was higher by 25 sen. Loses were incurred by KLK losing 30 sen and ACB dropping 25 sen. TaAnn and AZRB both fell 25 sen and Sime succumbed to a loss of 20 sen.
Portfolio stocks were dull mostly except for JAKS which improved 3 sen to RM1.14. AMDB added a sen to 43.5. The others were unchanged or traded down. Welli dropped 2 sen to RM1.02 and Resorts was off 6 sen at RM3.94, Genting dropped 5 sen to RM8.40 and BJ Sports Toto lost 2 sen to RM4.96. Also, KHSB lost a sen to RM1.05. RCE and Metronic remained at their overnight levels of 92 sen and 15.5 sen.
Some counters might just move up in the afternoon before profit taking appears. Hope JAKS and KHSB can move up to new price levels so that it can have a head start next week before Raya sets in.
