Dry and Boring Bursar

That is the picture of Death Valley. Just looking at it makes you thirsty. Unfriendly and non-supportive - like Bursa right now as it ends its trading day. After lunch, it went sideways and then downwards into the washroom. But surprise of surprises, the CI virtually jumped 5 points to 1297.93 when market closed; thanks to Transmile.

The morning's gains were
mostly given back . Volume of shares done was 1.02 billion worth RM 1.53 billion. Gainers outran losers 556 to 248. Gainers, apart from Transmile, were KLK gaining back 50 sen. RBLand added 50 sen and ScomiEn topped up 42 sen. Losers were Muhibbah which gave back 30 sen and DFZ which continued to lose, losing another 20 sen. Hardly traded United Plantations somehow lost 20 sen and AHPlant also lost 12 sen.

The portfolio leadership definitely belongs to RCE which jumped up 7 sen to 88 sen after an intra-high of 89.5 sen. Genting is another hero, climbing gallantly up 25 sen to RM7.65. Resorts held on well with octopus tenacity to finish with a 10 sen gain to RM4.04. Penny stocks AMDB added 0.5 sen to 42.5 sen while JAKS recouped 1.5 sen to 91.5 sen. Welli fell by 2 sen to RM1.00 while KHSB added a sen to RM1.08. Metronic remained unchanged at 17 sen. BJ Sports Toto went off its trajectory and lost 8 sen to RM4.76.

On all accounts, tomorrow should be a better trading day.
